Valour Projects
Right for you?
If you’ve ever tried to DIY your website, you’ll know how quickly it can go from “this’ll do for now” to “why is this still not finished?”
Clients come to me after spending months (or even years) trying to get their site looking and working the way they want. They’re pulling their hair out…
Feeling stuck in a cycle of endless tweaking
Not knowing what to write
Worrying that the design looks unprofessional
Spending far too much time on figuring it out
Switching platforms or templates but still not getting the outcome they want
If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone — and you’re exactly who this package was made for.
Who it’s for
If you use your website to generate leads, take bookings, and/or offer a small catalogue of digital or physical products, then this is for you!
Service based businesses
Single-product stores
Stores that sell just one type of product
Boutique stores
Stores with a small curated collection of products
WHO IT’S NOT FOR
This is not for you if you have a large and varied product catalogue, or you have complex shipping or tax requirements.
“…the best decision ever!”
“Having Jen redesign my Squarespace website was the best decision ever! I had tried to update it myself but it was clunky and I wasn't proud of it (even after wasting hours trying to get it looking good). Now I'm super proud of my website and would recommend Jen to ANYONE who is considering a Squarespace website redesign!”

Custom add-ons
Need something extra that’s not listed here? Send me an email (jen@linneydesigns.com) or use the contact form and I’ll let you know if it’s a service I can provide. If I can’t do it personally, chances are I can recommend someone who can.
What you provide.
Your copy
You supply all written content for your website. I can use the copy on your existing website, what you fill out in the client questionnaire, or a combination of both. Alternatively, you can also supply all new copy in a Word or Google Doc. I can also refer you to a professional copywriter if you prefer this option.
Your images
You supply all photography for your website. Ideally these would be professional quality shots by a photographer, or high-quality well-composed shots you’ve taken yourself. If you don’t have either of those, then paid stock photos are also an option. I recommend avoiding free stock photos where possible.
Your logo and graphics
You supply your logo, colour palette, and any other brand assets you have. If you have DIY’d your branding or it’s a bit outdated then I will give it a subtle glow-up to make sure it looks as good as your new website. This is not normally necessary if you have had professional branding done relatively recently.
Your subscription fees
Domain fees
Squarespace Business/Core Plan subscription
Plugins or services such as schedulers, booking systems or email marketing platforms.
Font licenses for any custom fonts you need.
You pay these directly to the service provider.

Frequently asked questions.
Working with me
-
I work with solopreneurs, entrepreneurs, small business owners, freelancers, contractors and service providers. The important part is that there are just 1 or 2 decision-makers in the business, and 1 of those decision-makers must be my sole point of contact for the project. This helps ensure clear communication and keeps us progressing steadily through the project.
-
I usually work with soloprenuers who have been in business for a few years and are ready to invest in levelling up their website. However, since I create each custom website from scratch, I can also do brand new custom websites for the same package price as redesigns. Please book a call or contact me with any questions.
-
The design and build process takes 2 weeks (10 business days). When we pick a start date we take into account how much time you think you will need to get any required resources together. This includes your brand assets and strategy, new website copy, and images. You may like to work with a brand or graphic designer and/or a photographer to refresh your brand assets and images, and this should be completed before the start date of the design process. My system walks you through making sure you have all the right bits and pieces. All resources need to be provided before the start date of the design period. During the design period you will be prompted at various stages to provide feedback and request changes.
-
I am a solopreneur too and currently carry out all tasks myself.
-
I live in New Zealand and serve English-speaking clients worldwide.
Design Dates
-
We will talk this through together on our call, but remember that although it can be tempting to book the next available date (because you want it done ASAP!), keep in mind that you will need to gather all the resources for your new website including brand assets (like logos), new copy and images, before the start date.
-
This changes quickly so please book a call or contact me.
-
Possibly! The design process takes 2 weeks (10 business days). Whether I can meet your preferred deadline depends on what dates are already booked and how long you need to gather your resources. Book a call to discuss your project, or contact me to ask specifically about available dates.
Squarespace
-
I choose Squarespace for my clients’ websites ultimately because it is easy for them to use and maintain after the project is done. It’s not really suitable for large or complex stores though, especially if you have complex shipping, discounting or tax requirements.
-
That's great! You'll already be familiar with how to maintain a site in Squarespace, however in most cases I won't make changes directly to your existing website. Instead I will design a new website from scratch. This ensures that everything is built to best-practice and is fully responsive on mobile. Depending on what you want out of your redesign, it could end up looking similar to, or completely different from, your current website. It also means that there won't be any disruptions to your current website while we build the new one.
-
Please see the Squarespace website for current subscription prices. To work with me you must commit to their Business/Core Plan or higher, but you won’t pay for this until we make your website live. You can opt for a monthly or annual plan, however the annual plan is significantly cheaper. Also, because I’m a Squarespace Circle Gold Partner, when you work with me you receive a 20% discount on your first yearly subscription. You pay your Squarespace subscription directly to Squarespace.
-
I specialise in Squarespace websites, so even if you are currently using a different website platform, I would move you to Squarespace as part of the redesign process. If you would prefer to stay with your existing platform, please engage a designer who specialises in that platform.
-
I insist that you do! Your SEO is largely tied to your domain so it’s important to keep that consistent. If you like, you can add additional domains that lead back to your main domain.
booking
-
A 20% non-refundable deposit secures your design date, with the next 30% due before the start date of the project, and the remaining 50% due at the end of the project before the transfer of ownership.
-
For clients paying in USD, I offer credit card or ACH payment options.
New Zealand based clients paying in NZD can pay by credit card or bank deposit.
-
We get excited! Then I will request some information about your business. All you need to do is work through the questions. I’ll lead you through the process of clarifying your message and gathering any new resources like brand assets, new copy and images. You’ll need to finish this before your design start date rolls around.
-
Yay! Book a call with me and we can talk through the details.
